Expert Golf Tuition
Being a golf coach is the activity which gives Gillian the most pleasure and satisfaction. Whether teaching complete beginners, the average club golfer, or fellow pros, the objective is always to allow them to maximise their enjoyment of the game.
One to One Coaching
Many Highland golfers of all skills and experience speak highly of the results of one to one lessons with Gillian, "I just love it", said one 14 handicapper recently, "I know I'm not really very good, maybe I never will be, but Gillian has improved my game enormously. I was a 20+ handicapper, and I now enjoy golf's challenge much more. With Gillian's expert instruction I hope to get down to 9 this year".
Group Coaching
As well as “One to One” teaching, Gillian is available for 'Group Coaching' where her excellent communication skills and desire to contribute to others come into their own. However, the major benefits to players are brought about during 'Personalised' coaching.
Teaching Style
Her teaching style involves providing a complete support system for her pupils in terms of their golfing development. The experience she has gained as a Professional Tournament Player helps her to offer this holistic approach. She coaches the individual not the swing. This approach covers every aspect necessary to master the game and includes fitness and nutrition, course management, the art of scoring and most importantly, in line with her belief that golf is the ultimate psychological sport, the all-important mental skills. Secondly her approach is personalised. The emphasis is very much on the individualisation of support and the recognition that different people require different coaching. Since all players have different physical and mental gifts to play the game, it is impossible to teach the same methodology to all players.

Where to find expert tuition
Gillian is providing a professional coaching service at the following three golf clubs -
Muir of Ord and Fortrose & Rosemarkie are real, typical Scottish links courses, both designed by James Braid and largely untainted by modern ideas. Fortrose, on the Black Isle, is quite unique in that the layout is almost encircled by the sea. With whins bordering most of the fairways, accuracy rather than length is the main requirement. The outstanding feature of Aigas is its stunning location in Strath Glass beside the River Glass. Most importantly all three courses are playable by, yet challenging for, all standards of golfer.
This is a truly enchanting area for golfers, with the famous championship courses of Nairn and Royal Dornoch within easy reach. Spey Valley and Castle Stuart should also be included in any Highland golfing escapade.
